Surviving the Conference

1. If you are attending the pre-conference intensives, please register between 11am and 1pm on Monday April 21st. Lines will be longer closer to 1pm and the campus is large so arrive early. All participants will receive a welcome bag at registration.

2. Snacks and water will be served. Coffee is also available for purchase throughout the conference. Lunch will be served Wednesday. Attendees are responsible for all other meals (will need to go to nearby restaurants as meals will not be available at the First Baptist Campus). If you attend a pre-conference intensive, you will have a chance when registering onsite Monday to purchase lunch for Tuesday. Otherwise you will need to go offsite for lunch.

3. Main Conference registration runs from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday April 22nd. Attendees checking in on Monday for the pre-conference intensives will receive their main conference materials at that time and do not need to reregister on Tuesday (can leave campus for lunch). Attendees to the main conference should eat before arriving on Tuesday.

4. The conference includes 5 main plenary sessions. Ed Stetzer and Andy Stanley speak Tuesday afternoon, Alan Hirsch Wednesday morning, Dave Ferguson and Steve Andrews Wednesday afternoon, and Tim Keller and Rick Warren on Thursday morning. All attendees are encouraged to attend these sessions in the main audiotrium of the Worship Center.

5. The conference includes 7 main tracks integrated throughout the conference. These are essentially conferences within the main conference. Each of the 7 main tracks consists of 7 one hour sessions. Main tracks include (1) pre-launch, (2) post-launch, (3) reproducing churches, (4) multi-ethnic, (5) missional, (6) Spouses, and (7) Nuts and Bolts. Each attendee pre-registered for one of these tracks. We are allowing "track jumping" on a space available basis only. If you would like to jump tracks, please wait to be seated until the start of the session to verify there is seating space available.

6. Catalyst Courtyard is a great place to hang-out and to connect with people. Snacks will be served from several locations (see map). The Catalyst Team (the Catalyst Conference is one of our partners) will be facilitating the programming in the Catalyst Courtyard.

7. Welcome / Information Table in the Worship Center will be continually staffed.

8. Wireless internet is available in most areas. A number of bloggers will be posting updates to their web sites throughout the conference.

9. There will be special programming over lunch. Check onsite for location and times of these special sessions.

10. Portable Church Industries and National Cinemedia are co-sponsoring a special dinner and demonstration of church in a movie theatre on Wednesday night April 23rd. Please RSVP to them. Contact Kendra at kendra@portablechurch.com.

11. Any sale items (books, shirts, etc) are handled by sponsors and speakers and not by the conference (i.e. there is no conference store).

12. We work hard to improve the conference from year to year. Please stop by the information booth and give us feedback.

13. Sponsors and exhibitors help keep the registration fee low. Please take time to visit their booths.

14. The 2008 Exponential Conference will be back in Orlando. The theme is "The Artistic Mystery of Church Planting Movements." Register during the 2008 conference for just $99 (price will never be lower). Stop by the information table.

15. We are endorsing an innovative initiative with NEXT Networks to offer BEYOND THE CONFERENCE. Stop by their booth to check out this practical opportunity for putting what you learn at the conference into action through a network of other like-minded leaders like yourself.
